Liberty Plastic Molding Corp. operates fifteen (15) injection molding machines ranging from 75 to 550 tons for all your molding needs, from short runs to long-run production.
To build new molds or maintain your existing tooling, Liberty offers a SURFCAM CAD system and 5 CNC mills. Liberty also handles secondary machining on plastic parts, assembly, heat staking and packaging.
The company was founded in 1973 by Homer and Marlene Gemmer, starting in a little building on Liberty Street in Newport, Kentucky. With rapid growth, they moved on April 2, 1993 to a 56,000 square foot building in Bellevue, Kentucky.
Finding retirement desirable, Homer and Marlene retired in December 2000. Jeff, their son, and his wife Janet purchased the building and business in January 2001. The name was then changed to Liberty Plastics Molding Corporation Inc. to better describe what the business was now doing.
Jeff has been with the company for 32 years, starting as a mold maker, and is now president of the company. He still works with all customers on new products and is still hands-on with the business.
Janet, after several years as a homemaker, came on board at ground level, running machines and assembly. She is now Office Manager and Operations Control Manager.
